Sales Tax Invoice Format in Pakistan (FBR-Compliant Template)
A template checklist of what a compliant sales tax invoice must contain in Pakistan under FBR Digital Invoicing — seller and buyer particulars, item detail, taxes, the FBR invoice number, QR code and logo.
Seller and buyer particulars
A compliant invoice carries the seller's and buyer's names, addresses, NTN/CNIC and registration type. These identify the parties and are validated against FBR's records.
Accurate particulars are the foundation — most other checks assume they are correct.
Item-level detail
Each line needs the description, HS Code, quantity, unit of measure, sale type and the relevant values and taxes. The sale type determines which tax fields apply.
This line detail is what makes the invoice both compliant and useful for your own records.
The FBR-specific elements
Beyond the commercial content, a digital invoice must show the unique FBR invoice number, the Version 2.0 QR code and the FBR Digital Invoicing logo returned when the invoice is posted.
Without these three, the invoice is not a compliant digital invoice.
Producing the format automatically
Digi Invoice builds the compliant layout for you — capturing the required particulars and item detail, then placing the FBR number, QR code and logo on every invoice and PDF.
You enter the sale once and the correctly formatted invoice is produced each time.
